A beautiful brewery, it was very tasty and we were all completely full

In normal times a well-attended brewery, on the site of the old Caspary brewery. Own beers and a good menu. In summer a beer garden behind the house, where live concerts take place. Activities such as a Spanish evening with paella are part of the event program. In times of the corona lockdown, there is food to go. Good quality and tasty. On Mondays / Tuesdays Flieten lovers come to their poultry at a special price. Tip: bring your own bowl. Parking at the house. Keep it up and don't let it get you down.

We used the take away service but that's where we go to eat. Looks really cozy & the food was delicious. See you soon 😁

In times of vegan superfood made from counterclockwise yoghurt cultures, such locations are unfortunately increasingly rare! The old brewery serves honest, fresh and extremely tasty home-style cuisine including seasonal specialties. Meat, fish or vegetarian, everyone will find something here. The portions are plentiful, the service is excellent (including advice - where can you get it today!) And the prices are humane. There are small deductions for the desserts and the in-house beer - but that may also be a matter of taste. Lovely again. Tip: make a reservation.

Very good restaurant + service. We happened to be there during the Bavarian Weeks and had made reservations for the Käsespätzle for ages. Unfortunately, they weren't on the Bavarian menu ... But the waiter asked the kitchen on his own initiative whether they would make an exception. Simply great.

I was there with my girlfriend for the first time yesterday evening we were welcomed in a friendly manner and brought to the table. The waiter was very friendly and funny We only eat 1 for 2 and got a plate to go with it, this service was great. We played the game 5 times so we had everything we wanted and I have to say we were very satisfied I can only recommend this place a large selection of dishes and they were all very tasty, the service was great and the atmosphere is super cozy

First-class schnitzel and home-style cuisine! We come more often because I haven't had better schnitzel in Trier.

It's really great and cheap, you have something on your plate that is too cheap for me because you get something for the money. Am here vacationers gladly again. Thanks again to the service. And you are dear to animals too

The staff was very friendly and nice, the food was delicious, had a Mediterranean platter for 2 people as a starter, the main course Brauhausschnitzel and 6 pieces of flavors, the dessert apple pie and pancakes caramelized with ice cream, prices for food and drinks were normal, would definitely come back if I was in Trier am

Super delicious food, nice service - what more could you want !? The portions were more than ample. The side salad is finally not just 08/15, but varied and beautifully presented. The main course was rump steak and schnitzel. The conditions are very nice and accommodating. Top!

Very tasty food (very large portions), great atmosphere and friendly staff. At our own risk, we hadn't reserved beforehand and still got a seat straight away. If it hadn't worked out, it would have been our personal bad luck. Anyone who distributes bad reviews in times of Corona because they are sent home because they do not have a reservation simply does not have them all on the fence.

Food is good, but such a terrible service. After our plates were taken away, you would expect a question 'any more drinks, or a dessert?'. No such a thing, there was no communication possible. A table a few meters away was served like every 5 minutes. I also see in other reviews that they treat tourists different. Horrible staf (except one younger guy, he was nice), just don't go here.

It's a shame that some people write a bad review directly instead of reflecting on how the situation came about. I saw on Monday that a guest had to be rejected in a friendly but detailed manner, as everything was reserved. The problem that some may have is that, as a potential guest, they do not understand that others have made reservations beforehand and the tables are therefore empty. It's a shame that you always have to be rude and write a bad review instead of looking for the mistake yourself. Other than that, the food was super tasty as always and the staff friendly as always ... I love going there.

Price / performance for the food ok. Schnitzel are great, large portions. Unfortunately, very unfriendly and slow staff, long waiting times for drinks and food. Tourists are apparently not welcome, so do not come back.

We wanted to share the terrible experience from yesterday evening at the Altes Brauhaus. We came with friends to have dinner at this place as it used to be one of our favorite restaurants in Trier. We were regular clients for more than 2 years since we live close to the Altes Brauhaus and we loved that restaurant. We have always appreciated the service as the staff used to be extremely friendly with us. Also, the food is excellent, this is why we have always recommended this restaurant. The aim of this review is not to prevent clients from going to this place but only to report a serious issue with the current service. We have arrived yesterday at 19h and waited 30 minutes before the waitress decided to place our order (in a rush). Then we have waited another 30 minutes before receiving the drinks. In the meanwhile, clients that have arrived after us were already served and were eating their main course. We have waived many times at the waitress to draw her attention in vain. We felt left out and extremely frustrated to be ignored by the waitress who was unfriendly with us throughout the time we were sitting there. When we finally received the salad (after more than an hour) one of our friends spotted a worm alive in her salad. We reported the issue to the waitress who expressed her annoyance without even apologizing which is absolutely unprofessional. When we decided to talk to the owner he was very aggressive and asked us to wear a mask to talk to him. Ironically, he was not wearing a mask himself while serving drinks at the bar which is a breach of the sanitary measures implemented due to the Coronavirus outbreak. We came back with our masks to express our discontent and he started yelling at us in front of everyone because we were apparently "annoying him" and told us "dégage" in French which means "f**k off". In two years we have never faced such a terrible situation at this place. We are sorry for "annoying him" after sitting for more than an hour at a table, being ignored by such unfriendly waitress and receiving a salad with an insect inside while next to us clients were finishing their meals. At the end we are disappointed and extremely sad as we will not come back. We have supported this restaurant during the lockdown by ordering food to pick up, we came several times with our friends and family and we have always tipped generously the waiters as we truly loved this place. The service used to be excellent and very friendly but the way we were treated yesterday was wrong, unprofessional and unacceptable. These are the reasons why we will not come back despite the great food.

Absolute disgraceful service/ owner. We waited 40 mins for our drinks then another 30 mins for our starters/salads. One of the salads had a bug in it. Once we raised this, the salad got taken away without apology. After complaining the owner told us to 'dégage' i.e. get out/f**k off. Safe to say we won't be back

Have been there twice now and are satisfied. The portions are plentiful, the value for money is right and it tastes good / good-bourgeois. The waitresses are friendly and attentive. Gladly again!

We didn't have a reservation and the restaurant was busy, happily for us staff were very friendly and fitted us in. Very high quality German food served and complemented by good beer and wine selections. Very comfortable surroundings. Not in the centre of town, a fifteen minute walk or short taxi ride but well worth seeking out.

I have been with my family and some friends. I loved it.

After traveling all day Google recommend me this place as opened. Their Facebook page also says they are working until midnight on Sunday. When I went there they just closed right under my nose at 22:50. Then it was already too late for me to get to another place. Thanks for nothing!

Great food an service. The owner and the waiters are really friendy. Really good food options and a great atmosphere, inside and outside. If you want some good quality German food this is the place to go.

We recently went to Trier for vacation. we had a great time and ate at the Altes Brauhaus one night. It was awesome. they had great food, great service and great atmosphere. Really nice people who went the extra mile for foreigners.
